Fall Foliage - Dubuque Tour
Tues, Oct 17th 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
A fun, colorful tour starting off at the historic St. Luke's Methodist Church with one of the world's finest collections of Tiffany windows. Then it's off for a scenic look over the river while enjoying a delicious lunch at Breitbach's Country Dining.
The next stop is the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium where you'll take an informative, entertaining journey on the Mighty Mississippi. Enjoy dynamic aquariums, historical exhibits, and a stroll through the wetlands and boatyard.
A drive to Eagle's Point for special views of fall foliage as we finish the day with shopping and sightseeing in Dubuque before heading home!
7:00 a.m. Departure on a 54 passenger Arrow motor coach from the backlot of Seniors on the Move's office at 1245 8th St. in West Des Moines. Juice and pastries will be served after departure. You may bring your own coffee!
10:45 a.m. Arrive St. Luke's United Methodist church. View this historic Richardsonian Romanesque-style church and view over 105 beautiful stained glass Tiffany windows, called one of the five finest religious Tiffany collections in the world. Also see the one-of-a-kind antique pipe organ.
11:30 a.m. Board the motor coach for a scenic colorful drive before lunch.
12:15 p.m. Arrive at Breitbach's Country Dining, Iowa's oldest restaurant and bar since 1852. Enjoy a buffet lunch while enjoying one of the finest views along the Mississippi!
1:30 p.m. Off to the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institute. Experience the river though hands-on interactive exhibits, a 2,250 gallon touch tank, four theaters and more!
3:45 p.m. Head back to Dubuque via a drive to Eagle's Point. Visit Main Street - browse and shop.
5:00 p.m. Travel home. Optional fast food stop with an approximate time of arrival back in West Des Moines between 7:45 - 8:00 p.m.

Cancellation Policy - Payment is 100% refundable if canceled 30 days prior to tour. Payment may be credited toward a future trip. Registrations are also transferable. In the case of inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule.
