Fall Foliage Tour - Villages of Van Buren
Tues, Oct 9 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Our day begins at the Dutchman's Store where we will meet our guide. Lunch is served in an Amish Home with a home-raised and home-cooked meal.
Following lunch, we will drive through Lacey-Keosauqua State Park and then see the Indian Artifact Museum. We finish up the day with shopping and browsing in the Bentonsport National Historical District and a tour of Bonaparte Pottery.
7:15 a.m. Departure on an Arrow motor coach from the Walmart in Windsor Heights, 1001 73rd St - SW corner of parking lot.
7:30 a.m. Second pick-up TBD.
10:00 a.m. Arrive at the Dutchman's Store to meet guide and begin tour.
11:30 a.m. Enjoy Lunch in an authentic Amish Home. Everything is home-raised and home-cooked! Meat entree, potato, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread and even homemade butter & jam!
12:30 p.m. Drive through Lacey-Keosaqua State Park. An abundance of wild flowers and other natural beauty in the Fall.
1:00 p.m. Tour the Indian Artifact Museum and Bentonsport National Historic District. Here you'll see working artisans in a historic village of the 1800's.
2:30 p.m. Explore Bonaparte Pottery archeological site. Established in 1865, digging continues and you'll take a fascinating, guided tour through this historical wonder!
5:45 p.m. Estimated Arrival at Bonanza location.
6:00 p.m. Estimated Arrival back at Walmart location.

Cancellation Policy - Payment is 100% refundable if canceled 30 days prior to tour. Payment may be credited toward a future trip. Registrations are also transferable. In the case of inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule.
